I.believe that GOD inspires in EVERYONE
a desire to leave His world a better place than when we found it.
Creating beauty is my way of expressing that inspiration.
I find it is almost as essential as breathing.
As a young girl, living on a farm, it was impossible NOT to both observe and absorb HIS magnificent Creation.
One day I distinctly remember simply picking up a stick and making my mark in the sandy soil of east Texas.
I was HOOKED!
After college, marriage, having children, and armed with a teaching degree from Baylor University, I began to supplement the family income and raise our two daughters. Before long, thankfully, a new way to express myself suddenly and providentially opened up for me.
I was presented with an opportunity to study interior design, and work with some talented professionals. For over 25 years I enjoyed having my own design business; however, during
that time, I managed to study art with many exemplary teachers. The time came to take the
leap to become a full time artist, from which I've never looked back.
My style is ever evolving, but bold color continues to pervade my work And., my subject matter
is literally all over the place - both taken from my imagination, and travel reference photos.
Many of my pieces marry abstraction and impressionism/expressionism.
Over timeI have been fortunate to be included in various area and local gallery shows, where I have taken home some awesome awards. A dream came true when I was invited to hold a successful solo exhibit.
My art has been placed in both residential and commercial venues from coast to coast.
I have only just begun!
